CASIO G-SHOCK is no stranger to left-field collaborators, but its latest release leans further into world-building than most. Casio has linked up with globally renowned creator NIGO to launch the “NIGO: G-SHOCK SOUVENIR COLLECTION,” a four-piece merchandise line built around an entirely original cast of characters.
Rather than simply slapping a logo on existing gear, NIGO has dreamed up a backstory for the drop: everything is framed as merch from “CASIO LAB.,” an imagined facility where four characters – GORO, ROCK, WANG-TENG, and DUNO – were supposedly born. The souvenir-shop conceit runs through the whole collection, with each piece designed to feel like something you’d pick up on your way out of the lab’s gift shop.
NIGO: G-SHOCK Collector’s Figure — S$59
CASIO The centrepiece of the drop is a set of meticulously crafted figures depicting all four characters. Each comes individually blister-packed and can be kept sealed or popped onto its dedicated stand for display. They’re designed to be collected as a full set of four.
NIGO: G-SHOCK Four Face Simple T-Shirt — S$65
CASIO A vintage-inspired graphic tee prints all four character faces on the front, while the back carries the collection’s G mark, a nod to the characters’ tails. It comes in White, Black, and Grey, keeping things easy to fold into warm-weather rotation.
NIGO: G-SHOCK Face Pattern Bandana — S$20
CASIO A lightweight cotton bandana covers itself in an all-over print mixing the four characters’ faces with the project’s logo. It’s built to be worn a dozen different ways, tied, wrapped, or simply displayed, whatever suits.
NIGO: G-SHOCK Book Tote — S$69
CASIO Rounding out the collection is a book tote made from durable 12 oz. heavyweight canvas, printed with the same four character faces. It’s roomy enough for A4 items and sturdy enough for daily use.
The NIGO: G-SHOCK Souvenir Collection drops August 14 at 11.00 am as an online exclusive for CASIO-ID members, available through the Casio Online Store at casio.com/sg/watches/gshock/nigo-gshock.
