Longtime fans of San Francisco’s skate label HUF will be excited to see the brand’s iconic quake pattern prominently featured on the new Casio G-Shock collaboration.
Skate brand HUF joins forces with Casio G-Shock to add a special touch to the skate-inspired GD400 watch. HUF’s aim for this collaboration was not only to design a custom timepiece that was fashionable, but one that symbolized the heritage of both brands and was durable enough to withstand the rigors of skateboarding.
This exclusive timepiece features the HUF quake pattern etched into the band, a super illuminator LED which shows the HUF logo on the display when lit, a bold metal face protector, extra tough lug band attachment, and the iconic HUF logo etched into the case back. Other noteworthy features include a 48-city world time, shock protection and 200-meter water resistance.
To celebrate this collaboration, HUF and G-Shock produced a short film, titled “What”. It follows the life of Matthew, a skateboarder, and documents the strange and often unexplainable events that he faces over the course of a day. Watch it here:
The HUF x G-Shock GD400 retails for US$190 and will be available in May 2015 at the G-Shock NYC Soho Store and select skateboard retailers worldwide
