Jjjjound has announced the drop date for its upcoming New Balance collaboration on Instagram. The grey colorway of the Jjjjound x New Balance 992 is dropping on July 24 while the green colorway releases on July 31. Stay tuned for more updates.

The Jjjjound x New Balance 992 is a continuation of the Canadian design studio’s love for minimalist colorways applied to retro sneakers.

Jjjound, a Canada-based design studio, started out originally as a digital mood board that explored the recurring, timeless themes in design. They burst onto the scene in 2018, with a stunning pair of New Balance 990 V3 “Urban Grey”. Now, a week after announcing their Reebok Classic Nylon, they have begun teasing an upcoming Jjjjound x New Balance 992.

The new sneaker sticks to the successful formula of Jjjjound – variations of a single color to emphasize design elements on the sneaker.  For the New Balance 992, Jjjjound opted to give the sneaker an earthy brown upper made of short hair suede and mesh.

To add a little color, mossy green suede panels can be seen in the toe box. To top off the earthy vibes, the sneaker sees hits of black on the “N” logo, tongue and sock liner.

Another colorway was also hinted at on its Instagram timeline – a dark mossy green New Balance sneaker. Unfortunately, the image is zoomed in at the toe box, which makes it hard to confirm whether or not it’s another 992.

At the moment, no release date has been set for the Jjjjound x New Balance 992. However, it is stated that the sneakers are a part of their 2020 collaboration, meaning barring exceptional circumstance, you can expect these to drop sometime this year. Stay tuned for updates.
