A true fusion of ideas and culture: The new collection sees Nigo reinterpreting 1950s and 1960 western tailored silhouettes curated by Virgil Abloh.

Every piece within the collection has been reimagined from a Japanese perspective, infusing classic tapestry, silhouettes and military iconography into western-inspired apparel.

Kimonos galore: Nigo references the Kimono extensively, giving a wool coat a waist belt and a tailored jacket a wrap structure.

Continuing the Human Made references, the brand’s duck, tiger and stripe emblem make an appearance on the bags, rings, earrings, tie clips, brooches and keyrings, as well as Virgil Abloh signature LV Trainer.

Even the bags are odes to Japanese culture. The cruiser bag gets small scarf knot detailing that references furoshiki wrapping cloths while the larger summer tote a folded construction on the side.

The Human Made drip effect returns on the Louis Vuitton 2022 collection, most notably on the downsized Keepall XS and City Keepall. The bags receive hangtags with the “Louis Vuitton Made” heart logo – a sign of the duo’s collaboration.
