Following its success in 2014, Asia’s largest comedy festival is back again in Singapore for another round of riotous rib-tickling fun!
Round off March with a mind-blowing comedy mash-up, featuring 27 local and international comedians performing stand-ups across a whopping 130 shows over a span of three nights at various venues around Clarke Quay. Leading up to the festival is a stand-up competition to find the next comedic talent. Known as “The Big V”, the competition is in honor of the late Vernon Lewis, a Singapore-based comedian and organizer of last year’s event.
The competition is held across Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore, with the winners from each city vying for the grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015. The Singapore leg of the competition will be held at Hero’s Bar on Tuesday, February 3rd, with the grand finals held on the last day of the festival at the same venue.
If you’re looking for several nights of satirical-filled humor, laughter and 100% bona fide fun, be sure to attend the competition this Tuesday and the Magners International Comedy Festival next month!
