Singapore Boxer Muhammad Ridhwan Trains with Mayweather Boxing Club’s Otis Pimpleton

Muhammad Ridhwan, Singapore’s first pro boxing world champion, battles World Boxing Federation Champion Koos Sibiya in Roar of Singapore 3.

Muhammad Ridhwan will be taking on South African fighter Koos Sibiya in the headline match of Roar of Singapore 3 on October 20, 2017.

Ridhwan will be heading to the US for 26 days of intensive training to prepare for his upcoming fight. Ridhwan, who is currently the Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) World Champion, will be training under the guidance of Otis Pimpleton, a notable trainer from the Mayweather Boxing Club.

While overseas, his twice-daily training routine includes “sparring, pad work, and heavy bag endurance,” reports a press release.

As for his opponent, Sibiya is a more experienced Featherweight fighter with 20 victories and three titles under his belt.

In celebration of Singapore’s National Day, the event tickets will be sold at a discounted price of S$38 (UP: S$68) for Cat 2 ringside seatings and S$28 (UP: S$58) for Cat 3 upper tier seatings.

In addition, VIP seats are also available for die-hard boxing fans. The VIP experience includes a ringside table for 10 and four-course meals, priced at S$4,000 per table. It also comes complete with free flow of wine, beer, soft drinks, and two bottles of champagne.

Other matches scheduled to take place include a rematch between Chase Haley and Mirage Khan. There will also be an exciting title fight between UBO Asia-Pacific champion Keng Fai Hun and Rocky Irawan Sikumbang.
