Virgil Abloh, the founder of Off-White, has unveiled a website called Public Domain that serves almost as a digital archive of his work with Nike. It showcases every drop Abloh has ever released through his Off-White x Nike collaboration series and offers information about his current projects and hints at a few future releases.
Seven drops actually pending
The most important segment is found in the bottom bar which cycles through all of his past releases. At select moments, it will showcase seven back-to-back pixelated sneakers that, when clicked, will reveal a string of question marks: “??/????”. On all the other sneakers, you get their respective release date. All this to hint at seven major releases set to arrive sometime this year.
Though pixelated, some of the silhouettes are familiar and have been spotted at Abloh’s museum exhibitions or his social media timeline. The outline and colors of some of the images match up with the Futura x Off-White x Dunk Low, a Boston themed Air Force 1, “Canary Yellow” Off-White x Air Jordan 1 and a NikeCourt Flare 2 PE.
Other Easter eggs on the website include a countdown timer that’s accompanied by an address to a Chicago hotel, a guide to branding named “Free Game” and more.
Navigating around the entire site is pretty simple – it functions just like a Macbook home screen, complete with interactive pop-ups and video players showing zoom meetings and video reels. Through the pop-ups, you can scroll through folders of images that showcase the sneakers he has released and behind-the-scene images, just like you would on any Apple computer.
Head over to https://public—-domain.com to check out the digital interactive experience and find all the hidden gems offered within the site. Check back in for more updates on future Off-White x Nike releases.
