Finally!
The weekend can’t get better. This morning, Singaporeans were treated to some good news when it was announced on several Singaporean news outlets that Pokémon Go is now available for download in this part of the world.
Since Pokémon Go was first launched on July 6th, Singaporeans have been looking forward to the day the app would be made available in Singapore.
A major false alarm had the Internet in a tizzy when the app was rumored to be available in Singapore on July 15th. At Straatosphere, we were so beside ourselves with excitement that we even compiled a list of essential tips for Pokémon Go players in Singapore.
Alas, the rumors were proven to be just that – rumors, and the app was not launched on July 15th.
More bad news followed as the Singapore Government talked about wanting to regulate Pokémon Go, to which Razer CEO, Tan Min-Liang, responded by saying “there’s no point over-regulating in an industry you know nothing about”. Burn.
Well, today, we can finally put all those pre-Pokémon Go days behind us. Pokémon Go is here, and we hope it’s here to stay.
