Polaroid University is an initiative that’s geared towards helping people improve their photography skills.
Impressed by the photos you see on Occupy #Straatsnaps and Straatgram Picks? Now you can pick up a photography skill or two from the comforts of your own home, thanks to comprehensive lessons by Polaroid University.
Started by award-winning professional photographer Marc Serota (who has photographed personalities like LeBron James), Polaroid University allows photographers of all levels to learn photography and improve their skills at their own pace, whether they’re using smartphones, action cameras or DSLRs.
The first video episode, which is free for all registered users, is taught by Serota himself and shows viewers how to take breathtaking photos with the new iPhone. He also gives a brief rundown of the new camera functions on the iPhone, such as the Panorama feature.
An additional 20 episodes focusing on smartphone photography is set to roll out from now till year-end, and 2016 will see the release of over 50 episodes that cover all other forms of photography.
It all comes at a price – US$19.95 per year to be exact. Sign up here in order to check out the first episode, and don’t forget to tag your shots #straatsnaps, so we can all have a look at the fruits of your labor!
