Finally, we smell freedom! On June 19, Singapore will be entering Phase 2 of the post-circuit breaker. This means we can head out, meet friends in real life and dine-in at restaurants (5 pax per table). If you’ve been dying to shop, you’d be glad to know many of your favorite stores are re-opening this week.

Before you get excited, there are still social distancing guidelines in place. Here are some quick tips for safe shopping:

1. Before stepping out of your home, have the TraceTogether app installed on your phone and leave it running in the background.
2. In places where social distancing can’t be observed, like in buses or trains, avoid speaking.
3. Do not gather in groups of more than five people.
4. When visiting malls and stores, use SafeEntry to check in and out.
5. Most importantly, avoid touching your face. If you must, make sure your hands are clean and sanitized.
