G-Shock is set to release a metal timepiece designed in collaboration with Chinese fashion label Sankuanz. The duo’s second collaboration under the concept “Kill the Wall” sees a streetwear-inspired color scheme applied to one of G-Shock’s most rugged models, the MTG-B2000. The Sankuanz x G-Shock MTG hits Singapore shelves on April 16.
Killing it: Looking to break down the walls of fashion, streetwear, and culture, Sankuanz gave the MTG timepiece an all-black metal exterior accented with neon green hits. Branding comes in the form of engraved “Sankuanz” and “Kill the Wall” text on the metal watch bands.
Sankuanz’s MTG is just as tough as any other G-Shock sporting a dual-core guard technology that combines carbon-fiber-reinforced resin case with metal making it lightweight and rigid. The addition of Triple G Resist makes it tough enough to survive any drop.
Always on time: This variation of the MTG will come equipped with dual-coil motors for a swift operation of hands and enable it to swiftly calibrate its time when paired with a smartphone over Bluetooth through the dedicated G-Shock Connected app.
G-Shock celebrates the collaboration with an installation at the G-Shock Premium Marina Bay Sands store from 16th April to the 30th April 2021. Besides showcasing the watch and brand story, the installation will give a glimpse into Sankuanz’s AW2021 collection.
