SANKUANZ x Vans "REBEL TEETH" CNY 2018 Collection

Vans has teamed up with SANKUANZ – founded by Chinese designer Shangguan Zhe – to produce a Chinese Lunar New Year collection. It drops Friday, January 12, at select Vans stores and retailers.

Pieces from the collection include four footwear styles, a hoodie, a half-zip jacket and three colorways of the coach jackets (red, black and white).

The design of the SANKUANZ x Vans collection is inspired by the Year of the Dog. Following the theme – “REBEL TEETH | DO NOT PET ME I AM AGGRESSIVE” – each piece of the apparel range features prints of a snarling dog-tooth.

Vans’ Era, Classic Slip-On, and Style 36 silhouettes are also included in the line-up. Similar dog-teeth prints feature on the black style 36, while the words of the theme line the midsoles of the red Style 36, white Eras and black Classic Slip-Ons.

The collaboration echoes Vans’ inclination to work with young designers to boost youth culture and encourage talents alike. Besides this upcoming collection, the first Vans Asia Custom Culture Competition is a testament to the support and platform that the brand has in place.
