The artist, who goes by Bach, decided to explore creating his own sneaker mashups after being dissatisfied by the colorway of the Nike Hypervenom 3 football boots.
“When the Nike Hypervenom 3 soccer cleats first came out, my friends and I were talking about how awful the launch colorway was, though it has grown on me now. I made some very simple edits of them on Photoshop. I didn’t think they were that great but my friends liked them,” Bach told Straatosphere.
Underwhelmed yet again with the design of the Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit, the artist decided to take matters into his own hands and create his first sneaker design.
Some of his first mashups include the Nike Mercurial Superfly V “Elite Pack” x Air Max 2015 (below) and the Adidas x 16+ Purechaos “Chequered Black” x Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Bred”.
The artist claims that his passion for soccer cleats is “only natural” due to his interest in footwear technology.
“In my opinion cleats are some of the most technologically advanced footwear. I also think the way they are designed visually is so fascinating, especially when compared to normal sneakers,” Bach added.
