More leaks of the upcoming Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Caged 2, or now known as the Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Kukini, have surfaced. Thanks to @yankeekicks, we now get a closer look at the sneakers and the new black/green colorway. Check them out below.
The new cage is borrowed from another runner from the 2000s.
Stussy may have single-handedly revived the Nike Zoom Spiridon Caged 2. After the massively successful release of their collaboration in March, Nike has announced that it will drop the shoe in more colorways. Taking the partnership a step further, Nike and Stussy are tinkering with the sneaker again, with the latest leaks showing a brand new take on the Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Caged 2.
Taking the name of its predecessor, the new Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 borrows elements from the Nike Air Kukini. The most noticeable feature is the translucent cage that is set atop the white mesh uppers. The cage stretches across the entire upper, providing structure and lockdown in place of laces.
Peering through the cage is the minimal branding given to the sneaker. We see a black Swoosh on the lateral side of the sneaker and Stussy branding on the tongue. To add a little contrast, the sneaker’s sock liner comes in a bright red. Another eye-catching element is on the heel, where a shiny plastic heel cap has been added. On the heel cap is the black Nike Swoosh.
Overall, the sneaker stays true to its 2000s heritage with a cage from Nike Air Kukini and a timeless colorway. At the moment, no release date or price has been set for the new Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Caged 2. Stay tuned for updates.
