Undercover, Public Enemy, and Doc Martens have each collaborated with Supreme in the past. And that’s why this leak from @MRBLD_ is a big deal; this Supreme x Undercover x Public Enemy Doc Martens will be the first time all four entities are joining forces on a single collection.
The four-way collab employs the British shoemaker’s classic 1461 model. Public Enemy’s iconic “Fear of a Black Planet” space-themed album artwork prominently adorns the entire upper of the shoe. As with most collabs, the tongue of the shoe carries Supreme and Undercover’s branding, while further Supreme branding appears on the insoles along with Doc Martens’ signature logo.
While there appear to be no additional images, @MRBLD_ claims that there will be other items as part of the collection.
Redditors react to the leaked images
Redditors’ mixed reaction goes to show that not all collaborations hit the jackpot. While some question the inclusion of a thirty-year-old album artwork, some find it relevant to highlight the status of Public Enemy as an icon. For others, the complex graphics just did not match well. Either way, this drop will most likely sell out given the hype for collabs these days.
