Two upcoming Yeezy 500s were revealed in the span of two days, with one rumored to drop on November 23.
Here is what you need to know about the upcoming Yeezy 500 sneakers, so you can decide if you want to cop or drop.
The Yeezy 500 is known for its crazy layers of mesh, suede and Crazy 8-inspired outsole. Haters have said the silhouette looks like a bug head, but fans of the sneaker love its single tone colorways contrasted with the busy mix of materials. Kanye may not have delivered his new album yet, but he has gifted us with two sneak peeks at his upcoming Yeezy 500 drops.
Yeezy 500 “Stone”
Slated to drop next month, the Yeezy 500 “Stone” comes in a seasonally perfect sand-like color that will match any outfit. The sneaker has a mix of suede and soft mesh on its uppers. Unlike prior drops, these Yeezy 500s don’t have a completely monochromatic colorway. Instead, it comes with a cream-colored soft polyester mesh and sand-colored suede. This beige color scheme continues to the sand-colored Adiprene midsole and gum outsole.
The Yeezy 500 “Stone” is expected to drop on November 23 – perfect for a fire Thanksgiving’ fit or as a Christmas gift for that significant sneakerhead in your life.
Yeezy 500 High “Slate”
Now, this sneaker came out of nowhere. As the name suggests, the Yeezy 500 High is a high-top version of the alien-like sneaker. Rumors have swirled for a while that a high-top sample was made, and it was finally confirmed over the weekend when Kourtney Kardashian posted an Instagram video showcasing an on-feet look at the sneaker.
The sneakers closely resemble the sample images, with the dark navy-blue single tone uppers, and sand midsoles and outsoles. It does look like it uses a mix of suede and waterproof soft nylon, which makes it suitable for our rainy weather. However, some have felt that it looks a lot higher than the initial samples, which may make it more of a boot. Interesting.
No date has been set for their Singapore drops, but stay tuned for updates.
