XLARGE has been in the game for the longest time, almost 27 years to be exact. One of the pioneering brands in the streetwear scene, XLARGE is known for their combination of workwear, streetwear, and sneakers. Converse, of course, has been a staple in the shoe racks of sneakerheads and fashion enthusiasts for a long time now.
This year, both brands come together to collaborate on the iconic black and white Chuck Taylor, a shoe with its own rich history. In what may seem like just an ordinary Chuck Taylor, the devil is in the details.
Look closely, and you’ll see that the XLARGE Ape is peering through the Converse All Star logo and there is a small XLARGE tag on the heel of the sneaker. The sneaker is made of a water-proof material, a feature consistent across most XLARGE shoe collabs. Finally, there is a co-branded insole made of the new React sole from Converse.
These are scheduled to release in Japanese retailers this weekend on September 29. There’s no news of a local release yet, but stay tuned for updates.
