The regular Yeezy drops we’ve all grown accustomed to have tended to follow a similar pattern – the re-release of an existing model in varied colorways. But Kanye West shook things up recently with the release of a high-top version of the Yeezy 500. And it seems like he’s still in the mood for all things new.
This month, the rapper will debut his latest silhouette – the Yeezy 700 V3 Azael – on December 23. The third generation of Yeezy’s popular chunky sneaker adds a completely new and bold look to the lineup – one that moves away from the signature design lines and features of the previous two versions.
We’re guessing that the general theme in the Yeezy design room of late is alien lifeforms, which we see manifesting in the form of the upcoming Yeezy 700 V3 Azael and the other new model, the Yeezy 380. The Yeezy 700 V3 Azael features an elaborate glow in the dark cage made of RPU for structure and durability as it holds the monofilament engineered mesh uppers. A new ankle collar also features on the model for a snug fit, with reflective hits on the tongue. While chunky midsoles will always be a mainstay for the Yeezy 700, what’s different this time is the absence of Adidas’ signature Boost cushioning which could prove disappointing for fans.
But with that also comes a massive retail price cut to S$265 – down from the steep S$450 of the past two versions of the sneaker. The Yeezy 700 V3 Azael will only make its debut in North America and Europe on December 23. If you’re looking to cop, hit the link below to enter the raffle now on END and Footpatrol.
