It’s shaping up to be a pretty chill week, but if you don’t think you can pull through, here are some tracks from the likes of Shorya, Krickz, Bibi Bourelly and more to help you stay afloat!
These three rappers from Venice Beach are the newest signees to Red Bull Records, making them the first hip-hop group in the label. “The Mission” is a pre-release track produced by Swiff D, the same guy behind ScHoolboy Q’s “Studio”. The music video, like the track itself, exudes lazy hazy West Coast vibes alongside slick verses. With their EP set to be released on July 15th, we’re definitely keeping these guys on our radar.
This is the first time that Shorya (AOR Studios), Sheeq Luna and The Zadon (Grizzle Grind Crew) have worked together to put out a track, and boy do we wish they would release more in future. “Love Tonight” is the perfect car ride music if you’re cruising down the highway with your boo. It’s a perfect progression of build-ups and brilliant vocal processing, matched with Sheeq’s honey vocals reminiscent of 90s R&B.
Here’s a throwback to a hit from four years ago. Brought to you by the collective that consists of DJ Aki (Seoul), Ritha K (London) and Wookie Park (Singapore), this was a hit among Seoulites when it was released, and we can see why! The beat of the song makes it the perfect accompaniment for cafe hangouts that Koreans are so big on.
Here’s a fresh tune from Singapore’s Rocking Good Records. The latest trap single from Krickz is every bit as ephemeral as it is euphoric, with Maricelle’s dainty vocals emphasizing the emotions associated with wanting someone you love to be next to you.
It’s time to stop thinking of Bibi Bourelly as “the girl behind that Rihanna song” and recognize her for her talent alone. We always knew she was gonna make it big, and “Perfect” can’t be any more, well, perfect. With Earl St. Clair’s R&B-style crooning paired with her modern references in the lyrics such as “eyebrows on fleek”, this bluesy track might just propel her into the spotlight once and for all.

Tira Lee is Straatosphere’s resident aux cord heaux. She’s in-charge of pulling together nifty mixes each week to spread dope tracks and good vibes to the public. In her free time, she partakes in something distressingly referred to as academia and often experiences an existential crisis of sorts. She’s also paid to put pretty clothes on pretty people sometimes.
