The groundbreaking adidas NMD runner silhouette has been slapped with new graphics and a monochrome color scheme in the first of many updates to come.
If you missed out on the first adidas NMD runner, here’s your chance to cop a pair, albeit in a different colorway. Using the same progressive design of the original NMD runner, the adidas NMD_R1 features textured, fuzzy graphics on the lightweight, breathable Primeknit upper.
Absent from this sneaker are the three stripes on the midfoot, but fans of adidas’ proprietary Boost technology can heave a sigh of relief, as the cushioning system remains present. Black accents found on the midsole, heel and eyelets add to the no-nonsense vibe of this bold-looking sneaker.
Retailing at S$299, the adidas NMD_R1 will be released on January 30th at adidas Original stores (Pacific Plaza, Bugis+), Limited Edt stores (313@Somermet, Marina Bay Sands), Pedder on Scotts and Tangs at Orchard.
