Tie dye is back in vogue in 2020, bringing psychedelic vibes to apparel and accessories. Nike takes the trend up a notch, with rumors hinting at a potential Air Jordan 1 High OG “Tie Dye”.
It looks like the sneaker will come wrapped in full leather uppers in the “White/Black – Aurora Green” colorway. The colorblocking resembles the “Black Toe” variants of the Air Jordan 1, with a large white panel on the midsection of the sneaker.
Around the toe box and eyelets, where black leather panels are normally found, we see tie dyed leather panels. The tie dye panels extend up to the ankle straps and down to the heel cap. The Swoosh, perforated toe box and top of the ankle come in classic black leather.
The outsoles, midsoles and laces are business as usual, coming in black and white.
House Of Heat rendered a mock-up of the sneaker, which you can check out below.
At the moment, the sneaker is rumored to drop on June 11 at a retail price of US$170 (approx S$235.55) as a women’s exclusive. Nike has yet to confirm the release.
