Time to reflect: Atmos celebrates 50 years of the Superstar with its glowing interpretation

The Atmos x Adidas Superstar makes its first appearance in an Instagram post by Hirofumi Kojima, the creative director of Atmos.

This striking collaborative effort features a snakeskin-like print that’s reflective.

This year marks 50 years since the Superstar was first spotted on basketball courts. In celebration of the milestone, Adidas has invited creators such as Pharrell Williams and Jonah Hill to develop collaborative Superstar sneakers. Next up is one from the sneaker retailer, Atmos.

The Atmos x Adidas Superstar sneaker comes with a snakeskin-looking upper that’s light-reflective and glow-in-the-dark. This treatment even coats the tongue and heel tab of the shoe. The midsole and shell toe cap are kept simple in black or white.

This sneaker is the 10th edition of a long-running partnership between Atmos and Adidas called “G-SNK”. Collaborations that have been released as part of “G-SNK” generally incorporate snakeskin prints or leather into their designs.

No details yet as to when the Atmos x Adidas Superstars drop, so stay for updates.
