Bruce Lee’s dedication to perfection was second to none, and his iconic status will be highlighted once again, with this upcoming collection.
Two sneakers form this commemorative collection – the Tiger Corsair “Jeet Kune Do” and the Colorado Eighty-Five “Legend”. Both silhouettes are steeped in heritage yet perfectly suited for modern times.
Taking cues from the martial arts attire that Bruce Lee and many other practitioners wore in their heyday, black luxurious suede and navy premium leather are found on the sleek, low-profile Tiger Corsair “Jeet Kune Do”.
An engraved dragon design on the upper, debossed graphics on the heel and commemorative logo on the insole all serve to pay homage to Bruce Lee. Three sets of laces – black, navy and white – are included, and they all feature Bruce Lee’s printed signature on the tips.
The Colorado Eighty-Five “Legend” is inspired by Bruce Lee’s final film, Game of Death, and has a yellow premium nubuck leather upper that’s contrasted by black boxed leather tiger stripes. Both midsole and outsole come in black with yellow speckles, and the two sets of waxed rope laces provided also have Bruce Lee’s insignia on the tips.
Retailing at S$199 and S$269 for the Tiger Corsair “Jeet Kune Do” and Colorado Eighty-Five “Legend” respectively, the BAIT x Onitsuka Tiger x Bruce Lee 75th Anniversary collection will be available from December 2015 onwards.
The collection will be available at the following stores: Onitsuka Tiger (Suntec City and VivoCity), Leftfoot (The Cathay), Limited Edt (313@Somerset and Marina Bay Sands), Pedder on Scotts and STARTHREESIXTY (Paragon, Suntec City and Wheelock Place).
