Carrie Fisher, known fondly for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars series, has passed away at the age of 60.
The actress, best remembered for her portrayal of Princess Leia, recently made a major appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
According to Variety, she also completed filming her scenes for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII.
Off-screen, Fisher also made a name for herself through her writing career. Most recently, she opened up about an on-set romance with Harrison Ford back in the day.
