Desiigner starts off the episode with his usual mish-mash of highly incomprehensible phrases, he then goes on to talk sneakers and drops details on his Adidas collab.
With much of his speech sounding nearly incoherent (and not unlike the sounds of smashing all the keys of your keyboard at the same time), it was pretty hard trying to understand the 20-year-old rapper. Turning on the captions didn’t help much, either.
But once you get used to Desiigner’s strangely endearing way of speaking, the episode becomes a prettyfun ride. The emcee, hailing from Brooklyn, goes through the racks of sneakers in Flight Club alongside host Joe La Puma who looks on amusedly.
At one point, Desiigner confirms news about his sneaker collaboration with Adidas. This has been a long-time coming, especially since both his mentors Kanye West and Pusha T, whom the rapper credits for paving the way, have worked with Adidas.
The episode comes to a cheery close, and the spoils that the Grammy-nominated rapper picked out: Adidas EQT “King Push”, Adidas Stan Smith and Air Jordan 12 Retro “Flu Game”.
What can we say, the rapper’s got a Desiigner’s eye.
