The new G-SHOCK MRG-B2000 Kurogane-Iro is a timepiece that bridges the battle-worn past with cutting-edge craftsmanship. Just dropped in Singapore on July 4, this flagship from CASIO’s MR-G line doesn’t just tell time – it tells a story centuries deep.

Pulling from the age-old spirit of samurai armor, the MRG-B2000 Kurogane-Iro Singapore edition arrives dressed in kurogane-iro – a deep, blue-green hue once worn by elite Samurai commanders. The name literally means “iron color,” and it’s not just about looks. It’s a symbol of strength, honor, and precision– everything the MR-G series stands for.

Built at Yamagata CASIO, where tradition meets innovation, the watch is loaded with high-spec features. The Clad Guard Structure delivers durability and shock resistance, while a sapphire crystal lens with anti-reflective coating keeps things scratch-free and crystal clear.

The dial is where art meets engineering: curved indexes inspired by Japanese swords, perimeter designs drawn from folding fans and screens, and a tortoiseshell base that nods to good fortune and long life. Every element is intentional, rooted in Japanese culture and elevated with modern finesse.

Gold ion-plated screws and a crown round out the design, calling back to traditional gold accents on samurai armor.
