The IMI Festival 2017 is a unique music event that takes place Saturday, November 18. Here are 5 reasons why you should attend the festival.
1) Enjoy live music performances
Attendees can look forward to a line-up featuring Bob Moses, whose 2015 hit single “Tearing Me Up” scored over 2 million hits on YouTube, as well as Singapore based performers such as DJ Cats on Crack. Other musicians featured in the line up include electronic group Miami Horror, as well as Austrian electronic group HVOB.
2) Interactive graffiti installations for all ages
There will be a number of interactive art installations present at the IMI festival. Installations include live animated graffiti drawings, where attendees can request for specific items/objects to be drawn. Other exciting installations include ‘Pixel Tube’, where attendees can draw and sketch images using nothing more than a light stick and cameras.
3) Enjoy inspirational talks and discussions
The festival will feature a series of discussion panels on topics ranging from love to tech addiction. The panels are led by noteworthy speakers such as Nadav Ben Yehuda, a mountain climber who made headlines in 2013 after rescuing a Turkish climber. Other prospective discussions include a Q&A session with Iranian Electronic duo Blade & Beard featured in the 2016 documentary Raving Iran.
4) Art, art, and more art!
Art lovers will be glad to know that the IMI Festival 2017 will host a variety of art installations. Art installations will include an unusual face mapping exhibit inspired by the ArtScience museum’s Human+ exhibition (previously held from May to October 2017). Other art installations include ‘BrainPaint 3D’, a project that aims on turning your thoughts into an art piece.
5) Photography workshop with Eric Sawitoski
That is, if you’re part of the lucky handful of attendees selected to win complimentary passes to the ‘Leicable Workshop with Eric Sawitoski’. There will be two sessions, each with only 10 slots available, where attendees will learn how to shoot with the Leica SL and the Leica TL2. Interested in winning a workshop session with the camera maestro? Purchase tickets to the IMI Festival here, and you just might stand a chance.
