5 Kpop style trends to steal: vintage denim, retro sportswear jackets, statement jewelry pieces

Kpop style trends to steal to channel iconic Korean boy bands such as NCT U, Monsta X, and Exo.

Some of these trends to try include high neck shirts, statement jewelry pieces, and retro sportswear jackets.

1) High neck tops

High neck tops can be spotted in popular music videos such as NCT U’s “Boss”. The tops are often paired with a denim jacket or puffy jacket (as seen in the image above) in bright, primary colors. At times, lettering or branding can be spotted on the nape of the high necked tops.

The retro trend is big in the music industry – and everywhere, really. An easy way to pull off a retro fit is to pair a brightly colored windrunner jacket with jeans and a muted colored top. To follow this trend, choose colorful windrunners from sportswear brands such as Nike, Adidas Originals, and Puma.

Checkered is in! To rock the trend, look for psychedelic checkered pieces including checkered sweaters, dungarees, and shorts. If you’re not a fan of apparel featuring large checkered boxes, you could choose tops that feature the smaller, houndstooth pattern instead.
