Mind-Blowing Mashup Celebrates 40 Years of Hip Hop Music

This hip-hop mashup features music from Tupac, Wu-Tang Clan, Eminem, Missy Elliott, Kendrick Lamar, and more.

“40 Years of Hip Hop” is a mashup featuring the seminal music of Tupac, Wu-Tang Clan, Eminem, Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and more.

The mashup, created by YouTube channel The Hood Internet, crams 150 songs from 100 different artists into a 4-minute track.

Doubling up as a time capsule, it shows how rap music has evolved over the last 40 years.

According to HipHopDX, it took The Hood Internet more than a year to create this mashup. Their greatest challenge? Piecing the vocals together.

“40 Years of Hip Hop” has received over 120,000 views on YouTube. Is this the greatest mashup ever? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
