Nike Air Max 1 Dark Curry
The Nike Air Max 1 Dark Curry is one out of the three colorways within Nike’s Curry Pack that dropped in May. The Dark Curry is the original Air Max 1 “Curry” that was first released 15 years ago. This year, it was relaunched as part of the Curry Pack, alongside new colorways – red and green.
The rise of the Air Max 1 underdog
In 2003, the original Air Max 1 Curry was first released during the period that many would consider the golden age of the Air Max 1. Though during its debut, the original Air Max 1 Curry was surprisingly not well-received. After some time, people took an interest in the sneaker, even becoming many sneakerheads’ grail item.
The Nike Air Max 1 Dark Curry stays true to its origins, with brown hues of premium suede and nubuck with contrasting white mesh portions and a swoosh on its upper. The sneaker also features contrasting blue Nike detailing on its tongue. Its white midsole contrasts crisply against its black outsole and the air bubble in its heel.
