The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt, a chunkier interpretation of the Dunk Low silhouette, is reserved exclusively for the ladies. The new silhouette is a merger of the classic Dunk design with exaggerated tooling inspired by Nike’s ‘80s basketball catalog. Elements taken from sneakers like the 1984 Nike Air Train are applied to the Disrupt, creating a distorted version of the classic silhouette.
Panels around the eyelets have been left open, creating a floating effect while its midsole has been beefed up and segmented. The tongue comes deconstructed with exposed foam along the edges. Though almost every panel has been altered, the sneaker retains the Dunk’s overall silhouette and ‘80s heritage.
