Racking up hits on the music charts and heat on feet with Nike and Jordan Brand, the rapper’s next sneaker will be a true test of his influence. Will it sell out or get thrown out? Before you decide, here’s a closer look.

Selling records, sold-out shows and sneaker collaborations are all part of Travis Scott’s game. The massive influence he has on his legion of fans is a testament to his rise and success. In terms of sneakers, the rapper’s collaborations with Jordan Brand are hot commodities among sneakerheads, reselling at multiple times above retail price.

Travis Scott now has his eyes set on one of Nike’s newer silhouettes for a collaboration rumored to drop in 2020 – the Air Max 270 React. The Nike x Travis Scott Air Max 270 React takes on a revamped overall look with the rapper working his magic to deliver a sneaker that isn’t lacking in terms of premium materials and unique design.

But instead of splashing wild colors all over this collaboration, he’s chosen the familiar earthy color palette with plush materials lining the uppers. The Nike x Travis Scott Air Max 270 React also features a worn look reflected on the “rusty brown” midsoles, clouding the usually clear Air unit on the heel as well. Travis Scott’s signature branding appears on the heel tabs and insoles, signing off yet another collaboration.

The upcoming sneaker is rumored to drop in full family sizing come March next year. Whether it will sell out just as fast as all of the rapper’s past releases remains to be seen. But you can’t deny that the Travis Scott touch on a sneaker just hits differently.
