More images have surfaced on Abloh’s latest posthumous release of the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma. The Terra Forma duo silhouette will debut during Nike’s four-day Miami exhibition, “Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture” as a tribute to the life and creative legacy of the late Virgil Abloh.
“Virgil: Not New, Now”: The Virgil Abloh Exhibition in 2019 will be the Designer’s First Solo Show
Curated by Abloh and Nike’s designers, the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma will arrive in two neutral-toned ‘White’ and ‘Wheat’ colorways. The ‘White’ version features shades of cream and off-white with a vibrant purple sock liner and tongue tab. The ‘Wheat’ iteration comes clothed in a rich medium brown base with a stark neon green tongue and contrasted jet-black soles.
Both pairs are packed with intricate details such as the multi-colored midsole above the thick spiked outer sole unit. Swoosh logos are also revealed with the exposed stitching in its side walls while extended tongues are accented with abstract designs. The upper is mid-top in structure, with a zipper shroud on the Off-White branded tongue.
The sneaker stands out with its novel tooling featuring the text “Nike Air Inner Space” at the midfoot and a visible Max Air unit on the heel. Off-White branding is spotted with a face on the left shoe and a hand on the right with rugged bottoms texturized with spikes and oversized text that read “Tread Lightly”. Lastly, the iconic Off-White tags complete the emblazoned details of the sneakers.
The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma is said to be an original design from the late Virgil Abloh as his first from-scratch collaboration with Nike. Releases and pricing for the silhouette have yet to be announced but fans can remain hopeful for a launch in December after its debut in the “Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture” exhibition later next month. Stay tuned for more updates.
