Weeks after its shocking cancellation, Sense8 creator Lana Wachowski announces that the Netflix series will return for a two-hour finale.
The news was revealed on Sense8‘s official Twitter account. The post featured a heartwarming and intimate letter written by Wachowski (above). No release date of the finale has been revealed so far.
Sense8 follows the story of eight strangers who find themselves connected mentally and emotionally. Known as ‘sensates’, the group must now avoid being hunted by the Biological Preservation Organisation (BPO) who sees their abilities as a threat.
The series features a number of familiar faces like Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who), Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill Vol.1), and Jamie Clayton (The Neon Demon) to name a few.
Netflix shocked fans around the world earlier in June 2017, after announcing that the cult favorite had been canned.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos claimed the show’s production cost was too high, resulting in a number of petitions like #RenewSense8 and #BringBackSense8.
Well, if there’s anything Sense8 taught us – there’s power in numbers.
