After close to a year of planning, sneaker customizer Sekure D rolls out his very own weekly podcast. Look out for interviews and discussions on sneakers, toys, art and anything to do with pop culture.
Last September, we spoke to sneaker customizer Sekure D (read the full interview here) and he mentioned several exciting projects lined up for 2015. True to his word, the Australian has kickstarted the year with the launch of the Sekure D Podcast!
“I really like listening to podcasts when I work, and thought that what was lacking was a really fun, lighthearted and informative sneaker show. It dawned on me that I shouldn’t wait for someone else to make it, so I got to work planning it out. The beginning of a new year seemed like the perfect opportunity to kick it off,” he told us.
The first episode guest-stars Globe’s apparel and accessories designer Lawrie Pigot, with the duo discussing their top five sneaker picks from 2014, what their favorite movie characters of the ’80s and ’90s would wear if they had a sneaker deal, and more.
Besides sneakers, the weekly podcast will feature topical discussions on vinyl toys, art, pop culture trends and interviews with people from those respective fields. You can also raise topics of discussion by sending a tweet to @SekureD.
So what can we expect from the next episode? Sekure D will only reveal this much: “One of the topics will be the recent Puma x BAPE collaboration; this is something I am really excited about. As for the rest, you’ll have to tune in to find out!”
