Ann Siang Road, already home to plenty of bars, welcomes a refreshing new addition called White Label, a bar and record store under one roof.

Music goes well with tipple, which is why White Label, a bar and record store all-in-one, has all the potential to become the next coolest spot.

Following a media preview held yesterday, White Label officially opens to the public this evening. The nook, found in the beautiful Ann Siang House, is the brainchild of the people behind the record marketplace app #vinyloftheday, Kurt Loy and Darren Tan.

“We are very happy to be working with Analog Vault to present to Singapore’s music community and music lovers our labour of love. We aim to provide a unique and all-encompassing experience in music where you can have a drink, discover and buy new music, enjoy live performances and DJ sets,” says Darren Tan, co-founder of White Label.

But White Label is more than just a bar and record store. It has been set up as a community space that will showcase its founders love for the alternative and underground culture. To that end, White Label will curate records for sale from local and regional stores. It’s also the perfect space for live performances, and the first one after tonight’s launch will be a Jazzy Sport Singapore pop-up on October 12 and 13.

The White Label bar serves a rather extensive menu of beverages for a watering hole of its size. You’re covered whether you’re into cocktails, boutique spirits, craft beers or wine. White Label’s signature cocktails, White Label Iced Tea and Chrysanthemum Vodka Martini, are two of our favorites. But be warned, these come pretty stiff.

To get first dibs on the place, head down to the official opening happening tonight at 7pm. Following the launch, its operating hours are 11am to 12 midnight (closed on Mondays).
