The Zara AR app superimposes augmented reality onto three different sites: store windows, centrally-located podiums, and e-commerce delivery boxes.
With the app, when smartphones are positioned at graphic signages, models Léa Julian and Fran Summers “come to life” for 7 to 12 seconds on users’ screen displays.
The models pose and even speak while dressed in the SS18 Zara Studio Collection. Different sequences of new looks will be introduced after the first week.
Shop and share instantly
The looks worn by the models can be purchased instantly on the Zara AR app as well as in stores.
The social media sharing feature on the app invites users to take and send photos alongside the holograms of the models.
For the two-week period, participating Zara store windows will be kept empty aside from bold signages encouraging people to access the Zara AR app.
The Zara AR app is now available for download on iTunes and Google Play, as well as via the link on zara.com.
