Adidas ventures into the Dark Side with their new Star Wars collab

The Adidas x Star Wars collab is the latest in the sportswear giant’s string of pop culture tie-ups that include the Dragonball Z and Game of Thrones inspired sneakers.

Here is a closer look at the sneakers in the collection and how you can cop a pair.

In a not too distant future, Adidas will drop a collab from a galaxy far far away. The brand is following up on the success of their Dragonball Z and Game of Thrones collabs with a Star Wars collection featuring sneakers inspired by iconic characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Mace Windu.

Among the drops are the latest Hardon Vol 4 in a purple colorway that channels Mace Windu and a Dame 5 with green accents inspired by Luke Skywalker’s green lightsaber. If you’re more Sith than Jedi, you can cop the Crazy 1 or Rivalry Lo sneakers – both are mostly black with red accents. To top it all off, Adidas is reviving a true classic, the Top Ten, with a colorway dedicated to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The collaboration is an effort by both Lucas Films and Adidas to encapsulate the magic of Star Wars into each sneaker. True Star Wars fans will love the Easter eggs peppered across the sneakers, from special logos to insignias. Plus, each sneaker comes with Star Wars lace badges and galactic typography to complete the overall theme.

Also, this is just part one of the Adidas x Star Wars collaboration. There will be a second drop of Star Wars inspired Adidas runners and Adidas Originals sneakers at a later date.
