According to TODAY, the popular online shopping destination will offer a comprehensive membership package for Singapore users. The membership will be available for sign-ups starting from today, December 6.
Users may register for a membership on Amazon’s website and enjoy a 30-day free trial to check out the services on offer. Adding to that, Amazon currently offers a promotional membership price of S$2.99 per month (usual price S$8.99) for an undisclosed period.
Singapore among 16 countries to enjoy the Amazon Prime experience
Among the benefits include being able to purchase products from the US store and free standard global shipping on all orders above S$60 to go with it. For local purchases, members can enjoy fast two-hour delivery for free, on orders above S$40.
Amazon seeks to revitalize user experience with the new Prime membership since first launching the Prime Now service in Singapore in July this year. The membership is the first of its kind in South East Asia.
Geek Culture discovered that the site is no longer offering non-members free global shipping to Singapore, on orders above S$168.
It looks like Amazon’s focus has shifted to providing full benefits for members only with the introduction of Amazon Prime.
