The G-SHOCK x Joshua Vides Collection takes the DW-5600 and DW-6900 and dresses them in thick black lines and high-contrast panels, as if they have stepped straight out of a sketchbook. The renowned artist’s monochrome ‘Reality to Idea’ concept reduces objects to pure outlines and graphic essentials – quintessentially Joshua Vides.

Vides is known for transforming familiar objects into black-and-white scenes that look ripped from a comic strip and dropped into the real world. That MO runs through the DW-5600JV-7 and DW-6900JV-1 via a strict black-and-white palette and multi-angle printing that makes the cases look drawn rather than cast.

Handwritten-style function labels circle the dial, the LED backlight reveals his signature traffic cone motif, and a custom-engraved case back signs off the collaboration. Custom packaging carries both G-SHOCK and Vides branding, so even the unboxing feels like part of the installation.

The DW-5600JV-7 treats the square G-SHOCK icon like a blank page. A gloss white base sets the stage for strong black accents on the band, case, and dial that read like marker strokes around the silhouette. Joshua’s hand-drawn dial artwork anchors the face. Trigger the backlight and his cone motif appears as a hidden panel.
