IKEA perfumes are in the works. Find out more about the collection here.
The IKEA room fragrance collection will explore new ways of introducing scent into the home.
After announcing a millennial-targeted collaboration with Off-White last week, IKEA is back with more sweet-smelling news: it will be partnering Swedish luxury perfume brand, Byredo, to produce a limited edition collection of room fragrances.
“We’re trying to develop a ton of smells enforcing the idea that everyone has a different relationship to it, and nothing is right or wrong,” explains Ben Gorham, founder of Byredo, on IKEA Today.
“I think we’re working on using scent to communicate emotions and tell stories of people, culture, and design,” added Gorham. “It’s a layer we’ve imagined can add a very intimate experience to this scale that IKEA works in.”
No other information is available at the moment, but it seems like cinnamon-scented buns could be one of the scents in this collection.
