At the three-day celebration of Indonesia’s sneaker culture at Jakarta Sneaker Day 2019 this past weekend, we spotted tons of heat on Indonesian sneakerheads’ feet. In case you missed the event, check out the sneakers we spotted, here.
1. Air Max 720
Nike’s latest Air Max silhouette, the futuristic-looking Air Max 720, catches the eye with its metallic finish. Add a visible 360-degree air unit to it and there’s really nothing to hate about this sneaker.
2. Nike SB Dunk Low x Diamond Supply Co. “Yellow Canary”
A friends and family exclusive, only 150 of 250 pairs of this Nike SB and Diamond Supply Co. collaboration sneaker were available for purchase at a pop-up event in Los Angeles. Just how this little yellow birdie ended up in Jakarta, we’ll never know. But it’s clear that wherever you are in the world, there’s no sneaker that’s out of reach.
3. Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Pure Platinum”
Whoa! Take it Yeezy with the flex. Every sneakerhead knows how much of a grail these sneakers are. Kanye’s ill-fated last collaboration with Nike made a huge impact on sneaker culture and we’ll probably never see one like it again. At least we get a good look at it here.
4. Air Force 1 “The Black Album”
Who can forget Jay-Z’s album drop in 2003, The Black Album? While the album was iconic, what captured the imagination was the marketing strategy behind its promotion, which included these equally iconic Air Force 1s.
5. Afew x Asics Gel Lyte 3 “Koi”
There’s nothing like seeing a school of Afew x Asics Gel Lyte 3 “Koi” at a sneaker event. Also, the sequel release dubbed the Afew x Beams x Asics Gel Lyte 3 “Orange Koi” makes a cameo appearance in the shot as well.
6. Visvim FBT
The Visvim FBTs, a cult favorite of people with discerning taste, made an appearance at the Jakarta Sneaker Day. The FBTs are just a well-made pair of moccasins that will stand the test of time – and trends.
7. Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Medicom 2”
Peep these denim Medicom x Nike SB Dunks, an icon among SB heads. By now, it should be clear that Indonesian sneakerheads take the game seriously.
8. Hyperadapt 2.0
The future of footwear graced the carpeted floors of Senayan City’s The Hall at Jakarta Sneaker Day 2019. What’s there not to love about Nike’s self-lacing shoe? We tried the Hyperadapts on when they launched last year and we loved them – read all about our experience.
9. Air Jordan 11 Concord
We don’t really have to go into the details with this one. The Concord’s place in the history books has been cemented for a long time now and its glossy patent leather uppers makes it quite hard to miss.

10. Nike React Element 87 Undercover
Undercover smashed it with this Nike collaboration last year. These came in a host of colorways and it doesn’t look half-bad with this “worn-out” look.
