One of two sneaker models that are part of this collaboration that are dropping this month, the Nike x Sacai Blazer Mid drops May 30.

The Nike x Sacai May release presents two models to choose from: the LDWaffle which drops May 16, and the Blazer Mid which drops later on May 30.

Both of these shoes debuted at Sacai’s SS19 runway show in Paris in February 2019. What stood out were the doubled elements – two Swooshes, two tongues – as well as the elongated midsoles.

With the benefit of official images, we can now see clearly that Chitose Abe of Sacai has applied her signature design ethos on the Nike x Sacai LDWaffle by pulling two heritage Nike silhouettes into a single hybrid form. The doubled elements, like the Swoosh and tongue, remain true to what was presented on the Sacai SS19 runway. All shoes come in retro color schemes.
