Billie Eilish is a huge sneakerhead and has been spotted with several Jordan silhouettes on feet, from the Jordan Legacy 312 to the AJ1 High Dior. Being such a big fan of the Jordan brand, it was only expected that a collab was soon to come. What was unexpected, however, was that Billie chose a less popular silhouette – the Air Jordan 15. The Billie Eilish x Air Jordan 15 was released in a nude color that was 100 percent vegan, in keeping with her sustainable lifestyle.

After two years of silence since the release of the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 in 2018, the duo finally released an Air Jordan 4 – which was not up to everyone’s standards. Compared to the coveted Union LA x AJ1s, the AJ4s were a lot different. Inspired by sneakers from the 1980s, the shoe was covered in yellow suede, a white midsole and a mesh toebox that has never been seen on an AJ4 before. While fans of the Jordan silhouette were disappointed, the AJ4s eventually grew on some of them.

J Balvin made history by being the first Latino artist to collaborate with Nike. He first teased his Nike collab during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020. The J Balvin x Air Jordan 1 arrived in a tie-dye colorway – a first for the Jordan brand. The AJ1 featured a rainbow gradient, with jagged edges from the heel to the toe box. Months after he unveiled the one-of-a-kind shoe, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 1 hit the shelves and immediately sold out on its release day.

After the Jordan brand signed a deal with French football club Paris Saint-Germain in 2018, there have been multiple PSG x Air Jordan releases. The Levi’s x Air Jordan 4 was released in celebration of the 10th year since the Levi’s x Air Jordan 1 first dropped. The AJ4 came in three colorways: “Denim” “Black” and “White”. Unlike the Levi’s AJ1, the AJ4 came in full denim upper and a gum outsole. Fans of both brands went crazy for this.

In 2017, influencer Aleali May became the first woman to design a unisex Air Jordan sneaker. The Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 ‘Satin Shadow’ was a twist to the classic AJ1 ‘Shadow’ colorway. The shoe is seen in a black corduroy upper and silver satin overlay which were inspired by her dad’s corduroy slippers and her love for satin shorts.
