Are You an “Aliens” Fan? Here are 5 Collectibles You Must Own

It’s been 30 years since Aliens first hit the big screen and made an impact on the sci-fi horror genre. If you consider yourself a fan of the film, here are 5 memorabilia you’d want to own.

Aliens 30th anniversary

The Aliens franchise celebrated its 30th anniversary on July 18th this year. Despite three decades since its first instalment, the film continues to remain a pop culture staple.

This year is going to be extra special for fans of the Aliens franchise. Some major celebration is set to go down at the upcoming Comic-Con in San Diego on July 23rd, which will live stream a panel discussion comprising director James Cameron and original cast members Sigourney Weaver, Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen.

While we wait for that to take place, peep some cool collectibles that you’d definitely want a piece of while you re-watch the critically acclaimed sequel written and directed by James Cameron.

1) Aliens: 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-Ray Set

The re-release comes in a new packaging which contains an art book and postcards with director James Cameron’s original concept art. Content-wise, there’s a newly added interview with James Cameron, in which he talks about the movie’s design and origins. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Blu-ray release is part of a massive celebration scheduled to take place on July 23rd at the San Diego Comic-Con. You can pre-order the set here.

2) Reebok Alien Stompers

The Reebok Alien Stompers have long been coveted ever since they were worn by Sigourney Weaver in the film. Reebok deserves major credit for releasing both the high and mid cut versions to us, but it’s a shame that they didn’t release them in women’s sizes, since our heroine rocked them so well. If you’ve missed out on copping them earlier this year, there are still plenty available on eBay to satisfy the fanboy in you.

3) Seiko x Giugiaro Design “Ripley” Watch

This beautiful watch from the Seiko and Giugiaro collaboration is a covetable piece for your Alien collection. The timepiece was created for Seiko in the early 1980s by Giorgetto Giugiaro, an Italian whose background was in car design. On top of being the first watch to use analog quartz chronograph movement, it also features futuristic chronograph buttons on its right. The watches were re-released recently, and if you want to get one of these, you can find them easily on eBay as well.

4) Classic Alien Lunchbox
