This collaboration was the collaboration that Travis Scott apart from his mentor Kanye West. The collab drew direct influence from Helmut Lang’s collections from the 1990s and 2000s, and combined it with La Flame’s penchant for graphic designs.

Nike

Travis Scott’s first Nike collab came as part of the AF100 series, which celebrated the silhouette’s 35 year anniversary. His take on the Air Force 1 ditched white smooth leather for canvas and Velcro Swooshes, which has become a go-to design cue for many Air Force 1 releases that came after.

The Cactus Jack x Air Jordan 4 draws inspiration from Eminem’s take on the silhouette. Instead of a dark navy upper, La Flame’s rendition sports a light blue suede upper matched with red accents and black panels.

The Cactus Jack x Nike Air Force 1 grabbed headlines when he gave a free early pair to a fan at his concert. Its “What The”-like design played with various textures, colors and patterns that created a head-turning cohesive aesthetic.

Similar to his Air Force 1, Travis Scott put a similar multi-texture and pattern design onto the SB Dunk Low. As an added design element, the sneaker’s overlays would tear away to reveal a new elephant print and laces were swapped out for rope laces.

Scott brings back his Air Jordan 6 but this time with a military-inspired “British Khaki” colorway. On top of the colorway change is a new construction that uses a hairy suede all across the upper adding more depth and texture to the design.
